Sometimes I wish for an orderly life. A life where things fall into place in the best order, where news arrives at the right time and everything fits perfectly. A life to live doing logical analysis. Without grammatical errors and with the subordinates in their place.
Then there is my life which alone includes at least three. Each of these confused, out of time, never the last. Phases that overlap, start at the worst time and fail to finish when they should.
I wanted firm points and I have a collection of questions. I’ve practiced placing semicolons, but I’ve come to love the misplaced exclamations.
I wanted a grand castle, with fairytale contours and pastel colors, but all I have is a wall full of cracks. And how I love each of those crepes.
Volevi certezze e ora ti metti in discussione.
One, a single glance, is enough to get lost.
The eyes capture the image, imprint it on the heart and you find it circulating in your blood, occupying your head.
Or maybe it’s just the mind that decides not to let that face, those words slip away. Another thousand have passed quickly and instead that look remains.
I don’t know how, I don’t know why, but that look never goes away. The day after and the day after that you are there. You could still turn around, maybe, but you don’t.
You didn’t think it was possible, not like this. Yet that light is no longer outside. You see it in front of you, but it burns inside you.
All it takes is one, a single glance, to find yourself.
You said never and now you are. You thought you could close your eyes and now you don’t want to. You wanted certainties and now you question yourself. You thought you had the answers, but you just ignored the questions.
And you keep looking, sometimes close, sometimes far, but you burn anyway. You have fire in your eyes and you don’t want to put it out.
